That was the one time and they got bought out by the 1% and now the protest movement is about abortion, lgbt, and police brutality. Issues that doesn’t affect majority of Americans which is why politicians and businesses support these groups so much because it’s not a threat to their power and wealth.

Their pension fund (what I believe to be their version of social security) is running out of money and he thinks this is the only way to replenish it. Make people wait two more years, two more years of labor putting money into the fund.

Someone with a better understanding could explain it but that’s my loose understanding.

That's exactly why they did it. I'm in a union, sometimes the funding for the pension runs thin, but in America we just charge more for the work to cover the difference. Unless you live in a right to work state, then you just get fu*ked.
