![]() Let me start by telling you I'm probably the biggest Ravens fan on this site. I believe the Ravens are one of the better organizations in the league especially for a proud black man.
I don't think Ray Lewis has the career he has had he gone somewhere else. Ownership stood by him despite his legal case. They stood by Ray Rice too. He was only out after the video became public they had to let him go but till this say he is still a part of a the Ravens organization. If you have high character and professionalism you will thrive in Baltimore. Ozzie Newsome is another example that comes to mind. Lamar Jackson is talented but his professionalism is a 3 out of 10 for me. Have you seen his Twitter? Bro likes and retweets the most ratchet sh*t multiple times a day almost everyday. When you go to any other franchise QB their Twitter is totally professional. Even during the Ravens playoff push dudes IG and Twitter is always broadcasting some ratchet sh*t. I'm like dude read the room. Nobody cares about whats going on I'm Lil Joe Joe's hood week 14 of the NFL season. Take football out of the equation and let's say you own a billion dollar company doing anything . Are you making you CEO the highest paying man of he's on Twitter retweeting stuff like this everyday? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Literally 1000's of ratchet tweets on his Twitter I wish bro the best but I'm not even mad if we move on from him because he is perpetuating a stereotype about black qbs being your franchise QB every single day without a care Ps its still f*CK John harbaugh Last edited by Mainman301; 03-21-2023 at 07:42 PM.. |

The real reason may be acting as his own agent and not really knowing the ins and outs of sh*t
I do think the Ravens tried to play him tho.. schefter reported a 4 year 200 mil garunteed but the last year is "if" he is on the roster on the 6th day of '26 or some sh*t ![]() ![]() Which to lamar = 3 for 133 guaranteed |

As someone expained on The Athletic. It's simply both parties believing they're justified in their reasoning. And it has nothing to do with "professionalism" or anything like that. It's just 2 parties feeling justified in their way of thinking about this. One side believes they deserve the same deal as another QB considering their accolades when compared. One side believes that deal was anaomly not the norm, and nobody should command that deal, especially when the person asking for it hasn't been healthy as of late. Nothing about this is personal, so to bring up professionalism is lazy

Skip Bayless has talking about his lack of professionalism many times. He has inside information about him always showing up late to meetings and when he told that Twitter user to go eat a d*ck that was a big storyline because this is not something you want your franchise QB saying . https://clutchpoints.com/ravens-news-eat-dk-lamar-jackson-goes-off-on-twitter-with-nsfw-tirade-at-fan-after-jaguars-loss Sorry Sean, but being a franchise QB is more than what's goes on during a game

tf does his likes and retweets have to do with what he's earned playing ball?

Not only would an agent be out negotiating with teams right now, a good agent would be (through back channels) creating a market for his client. We'd be reading stories (unsourced, of course) about how "The Lions have interest in Lamar Jackson" (whether it's true or not) because they have an extra 1st round pick this season so them sending picks to the Ravens as compensation wouldn't hurt them so much. There are levels to this that need to be handled by an agent--or an agency--that Lamar just doesn't have time for. I hope he pulls this off, but there at times when it's best to pay people to do stuff for you.

That’s crazy I can see yt folks not liking that but ray actually k*lled someone and the other ray beat a bi*ch and the stuck with him.
I could see them not liking his tweets during season or something but his personal life shouldn’t matter he don’t get in no trouble. But yeah he do move different cant say no security but he do be having them florida shooters with them wicks in they head and sh*t bout sliding for em. Him and kodak from the same project around the same age they feeding the hood so you know he got them k*llers riding this the same circle. |

If he did carry himself more corporate like he’d prob get treated slightly better I don’t think he’s that unprofessional tho he speaks proper during interviews
He does shoot himself in the foot on social media tho He should definitely make a burner account to say random shi instead doing it all on his main He will always be judged for what he does on his main social media |

I'm sure it's part of it. QB is different from other positions. It's not enough to be able to play the game. The QB is also the corporate face of the franchise. Your running backs and safeties can get away with street level social media. Your QB has to be the most professional dude in the room.
I don't think it's "the" reason, just something that weighs on the scale. The reason is that they don't want to guarantee him for 4 years at the number he wants. Why? Because guaranteed money k*lls cap space and Lamar gets injured. And no NFL team wants to run the risk that their biggest cap hit can't be cut on their terms. So guaranteed for 3 years or less preserves the team's flexibility both in terms of the cap and if they decide that they want to move on from Jackson in year 2, they only have to wait him out one year while they bring in his cheaper replacement. Lamar, obviously, wants his money guaranteed for 4 years or more. More money, more security. They have different goals and it tells you that they're not as confident in him as he'd like them to be. Is OP serious ? Have you seen Elon Musks Twitter? Tom Brady post videos with Lil Wayne and 50 cent songs playing talking about murder all the time. Professionalism is defined as competence of skill. Can Lamar Jackson play football competently? I’d bet you’d say yes. Professionals are only expected to display professionalism in a professional setting. What he does in social settings aka social media has no bearing on professionalism. And professionalism doesn’t speak on your character. Some of the most skilled people in many professions are evil
