The 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a 1025-hp street-legal drag-strip special that signals the end of the brand's V-8 muscle cars.

Its four-digit horsepower figure requires E85 gasoline, and with that Dodge claims a quarter-mile time of 8.91 seconds at 151 mph on a prepared surface.

The Demon 170 will cost $100,361 when production starts this July, but only 2500 to 3000 U.S. copies are planned through December 31. It's curtains on V-8 Hellcats after that.

With markups, I wouldn't be surprised if these go for 200 plus. Used "regular" Demons are going for 140 plus.

Thats a fast mfer if it can back up that 8.9 pass and 1.66 0-60. Comes with optional parachute too. Dodge outdid itself on this one! Not everyone is gonna be able to handle a car like that tho.

$100k+ for a car seems excessive unless it’s a foreign luxury car or a domestic fully-loaded luxury SUV or pickup truck an maaaybe top of the line domestic luxury sedan.

One of my dad’s friends had an early 2000s corvette, when i was a teenager. One of fastest cars i ever was a passenger in.

i Eventually got a mid-2010s 5.0 back in early 2021 and that whip runs just fine for me.

It wont like the first Demons. Hell, this Demon didn't even run 8.9, hence them refusing to show the board.

Under 1000 hp on a rwd and a good prepped track an it will lift the front.. old school grand nationals would lift the front a few inches on a good track all factory.

Bruh! The sh*t is hilarious to be honest.

Every time I get next to a SCAT, HELLCAT, GT, etc. they will rev their engine. They will look over and you can see the excitement in their eyes!

When the light turns green, they're a*ses are out the gate with it. I stay at the speed limit and watch them drive away. LOL!

Mind you I'm in a 2011 Jaguar XJ with 400hp. I'm like, "Bruh this is a luxury car that's designed to cruise and chill in with speed if I need it."

Never fails though.
