its weird how nobody brings up his troubling injury history at such a young age.

its not even really mentioned as a "concern" that might affect his draft stock.

dude already has a decent pile of non contact injuries...both soft tissue and bone. including back/spine stuff to go along with the lower leg stuff. dude is already dealing with sh*t like STRESS FRACTURES at an age where the body is the most resilient.

when he was listed at 7'3" just a few months ago lol...there have only been 26 nba players at that height or taller. and only *12* have played for AT LEAST 2 seasons.

the data on taller players being more injury prone is already out there and pretty definitive. especially with that build that vic has.

chet holmes is shorter than vic and he didnt even make it to an nba regular season without a major injury (STRESS FRACTURE).

and the only players in that category to be anything close to "stars" were porzingis, yao ming, arvydas sabonis, and ralph sampson.

i think dude is the shiny toy in the toy box right now. people are falling in love with him on paper. but arent incorporating real world conditions and data into their evaluation of him.

Because he would have to have blown 2 ACLs for anyone to even enetertain passing on a generational talent as Wemby.

He’s legit the next one. From Jordan to Bron to Wemby.

Everyone will take a shot at getting lucky with his injury risk relative to his talent. It's that simple bro. No one is ignoring it we just don't give a fu*k.

Bron already passed the torch to Giannis. Wemby would have to get it from him.

It just feels like he's going to stay injured for some reason. Already has problems starting healthy now so imagine a physical 82 game season.

I'm not gonna count this kid out. I think the faster he gets to a good organization with a good training staff the better.

He's only injury prone because he has more surface area to be injured on being that long, pause, and tall.

The NBA is notorious for not protecting bigs and bigs are notorious for extremity injuries.

His best bet is load management and ligament strengthening ASAP.
