I can tell you who he crossed over and dunked on his first preseason game of his record year. I can tell you how he got hurt in that same game.

Kobe AND T-Mac had to prove perimeter players could make the leap, and those high school to the NBA cats in later years benefited from that. By the time Lebron came around, it was a forgone conclusion that perimeter players could make the transition.
