This is just basically saying that gone are the days of having an anti virus product where you download the newest definitions and then scan the machine to see youve been infected. Now, you can set thresholds to where if 20 files are changed within a few seconds (signs of being crypto locked), it will sandbox that device from the network without any human interaction. We do not allow scripts to be ran in our environment so any powershell script ran will be automaticaly blocked. It sure helps me sleep better at night.

I would probably say Comptia's Security Plus and then their Cloud security cert. Nothing can really replace on the job training and job experience. I would recommend looking for a niche and then studying that. Personally, I am looking to move into compliance. Fines in compliance will be waaay more than my salary.

Anyone seen this lately?

"Are you human?"

"Prove you're not a robot."

Then a random picture puzzle appears.

Isn't there a massive amount of tech lay offs , at the moment? And only going to get worse ???

Plus I heard some of the performance expectations and company culture is brutal

Idk. I’ma tech analyst at a state agency…

No rumblings of layoffs but I make about 110k and we have to f*ght to wage increases….

Alot of cybersecurity slots opened up due to geopolitics (russia, china, etc) so I’d imagine for more opportunities to happen since it’s gonna be a Cold War is imminent at minimum

I’ve always been interested but never been dedicated enough plus there’s little use of it since I’m more on the infrastructure side…

Still wondering if AI is gonna ruin the coding industry too
