The tweet mentioned nothing about Kyrie having to win a championship for a contract extension.

They obviously offered him a contract w/o ever winning a championship.

They offered a contract to him that protected them, and was less than market value of what Kyrie believe that he is actually worth. They wanted to add more talent around KD and Him, but he wants his money with no stipulations.

Marks gave KD and Kyrie control of the team. They wanted Deandre Jordan there they got him. They got Kenny Atkinson fired. They got Nash hired so they could all co-coach the team

Marks finally took the power back when he decided to not trade KD for less then he desired

I do agree it will be difficult for Marks to sign players but for the wrong reasons. He did a great job of rebuilding that team after the Nets super team with Dwill, Joe Johnson, Pierce and KG failed
