But some Pirates do buy games tho. Well, a lot of them, actually. Not to mention some indy developers will tell you to pirate it so they can get their name out there.
I just want to have a copy for my own safekeeping in case of DRM/No longer available. A lot of digital stuff, movies, tv shows, games, etc. A lot of it falls off the face of the internet if somebody doesn't upload it. Some books you just outright can't find unless somebody had it and scanned in a copy, some sh*t is just lost forever. Ubisoft literally takes away games from people's accounts if they haven't played the game in a while. Type of fu*k sh*t is that? Or if they just remove the game and its entire existence from the internet. I'ma get slapped, it's cool. |

If the game is available to pirate, I don't have to worry about any of that though.

PLUS, if I wasn't gonna buy the game in the first place, how are the devs losing money? ![]()

denuvo games get cracked all the time
it usually takes about 3-4 months after release depending on what they use to trigger the check whats funny denuvo is the reason many games have performance issues at launch and the eventually take it off anyway. many will but the game and download a repack because thee denuvo/steam free version plays better |

Surely no one would lose their jobs if literally no one plays their game. Surely a successful game doesn't lead to more positions potentially being open for further games. Surely.

Denuvo doesn't have sh*t to do with a game not being cracked.
A game has to be seen as something worthwhile to crack to begin with. And in recent years so many scene groups and worldwide recognized hackers like Empress have 'retired'...Who knows if some finally got caught and snatched up like founding members of Anonymous did. But between crypto miners causing graphics card prices to sky rocket, and the quality and quantity of games nose diving, almost entirely because of the pandemic, its not all that surprising. Apparently though some of the best and most recognized are still willing to crack whatever, but someone needs to know how to contact them and be prepared to pay a considerable amount of money for their service. |
