these players are also working with these trainers that are giving these guys more bounce, more quickness more speed, more strength and they're doing this at an early age. there's only so much a body can take. and these nba trainers and doctors can see that. | |

MJ last 3 season with the bulls he didn't even miss a game during that 3peat
That's crazy On the Wizards "40-Year-Old Michael Jordan Played All 82 Games And Averaged 37.0 Minutes Per Game Which Would Lead The NBA In The 2022-23 Season. Michael Jordan averaged 37.0 minutes per game as a 40-year-old. This is enough to lead the league in minutes this season." Last edited by reelife; 01-26-2023 at 06:06 PM.. |

There PLENTY of blame to go around.
Owners, players, trainers, media, coaches. All parties are responsible in a major way. The reality is the league is devaluing it's own regular season product by letting this go on. There's too many games, it's that simple. They need to start going toward an NFL/college football model. No team should play more than 3 times a week. No 4 games in 7 nights. The regular season should go from the beginning of November to the end of April. Playoffs should go from May through June. Teams should start camp a month before the season, and every team should have no basketball activity for 3 months (July through September). That's a six month regular season, so roughly 26 weeks of basketball, plus a week off for all star the first week of Feb (since the Superbowl is now the 2nd week of Feb). Every team plays every other team a minimum of once at home, and once on the road, totaling 58 games. Teams in the division double up so thats 8 more division games, thats 66 games. That means 25 weeks x 2.64 games per week= 66 game regular season. Figure out how to play the entire playoffs between May 1 and June 30. Thats 60 days. If you can't do that wtf are we doing?? The first round doesn't need to be 7 games. Make that bi*ch 3. Second round, make it 5, and then conference and NBA finals make them 7 games each. I don't want to hear about revenue. Make the ticket prices higher, charge more for the TV deals. The NFL makes the most money with the least number of games. And the reality is that an average NFL ticket price is way higher than the NBA, and they have way more viewers at home. If the NBA brought that sense of occasion to each game, they could increase regular season tv viewership and people would be more willing to pay a higher price to go to a game. They get 50/60k people paying$500 on average to go to a regular season NFL game. Last edited by back1; 01-26-2023 at 06:16 PM.. |

I like it. It's a team game and it should be next man up if the stars are out for w/e reason. The graphic up top says 53 players played all 82 games back in 1991... there were 27 teams. 12 players per. That's about 16% of the players that made it through to play the full season. It's not a great percentage to start with. Let all them dudes earn their checks. It's a good way to see all the players actually play too and see who can do what and who can't
