They replaced the actual DJs as personalities on speaking on music. Not surprising since the internet replaced the radio and tv

Because these new age rappers aren’t rappers. They are only spoken about when it comes to antics.

The game has changed. Rappers used to have bigger and more loyal followings. But nowthe game so watered down with so many artists making each one a little less famous and then add the fact that these bloggers have just as many followers these days.

Itís damn near a fair match now.

I was literally having this conversation the other day. YouTubers & online personalities have been and are becoming the main source of entertainment and information for Gen Z and below for the rap community and Americans influenced by it. What they say and do echos and reaches anyone with an internet connection. The fact that blue face went on Kai cenet twitch or 69 went on AK live stream somewhat shows you the popularity shift that's becoming the new source of entertainment.

People used to get mad at MTV for barely playing music on their channel but honestly they were ahead of their time...

Certain rappers never get exposed though, they might get dissed but there are rappers that don't get exposed because they aren't fraudulent

its paper work this paperwork that...like we don't know the industry full of snitches not just these young boys

but like my box brehs says - some rappers expose themselves

youtubers and influencers are becoming more popular that movie stars and artists

sidenote- we need to push a one of use to become a internet personality so then he can put us on through the streams

So does that mean if Youtubers started "rating bars and lyrics" to stay "relevant" artists would change up and improve their craft?

Or are Youtubers just useful gossip mongerers and not direct cultural taste makers and shapers?
