I ain't gonna lie and say I was listening to him from the beginning or anything but I'd listened to him for problems 4 or 5 years before he died. 2 outta those before he did he was probably one of my most listened to rappers.
Even I was surprised at how much attention he got when he died but I think it's cuz he really was loved. Even if you didn't know who he was you're favorite artist loved him so it was just everyone posting about it then people jumping on the bandwagon trying to pretend like they did.

I didn't find it funny but I got the joke. I'm a fan so I was pissed when it happened but it ain't like he was a snoop Dogg or Eminem type of famous. The amount of attention and sh*t that came after he died you know most of it was fake. Most the people that wanted to bring his name up during that didn't even know who he was or literally just heard a couple songs that just came out off victory lap

I was a pretty big fan, still am I'd say a few of his songs still pop up daily in my Playlist algorithms just from listening to him so much. Def was fu*kin mad when he got k*lled but I'm not surprised when people say they didn't know him. He was known but not super famous
