I could see why he would say that, 1999-2005 Eminem was a beast and arguably the biggest artist in the world.
Eminem because of the obvious factors: White in a black dominated genre (game), an incredible lyrical talent, making music with Dr. Dre. Em helped push hip-hop and hip-hop culture to a different height and level. |

On one level this is 50 being 50 and sticking pins in Jay
On another level it's bullsh*t...how can you compare Eminem to the creator of Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and the Black Album But then on yet another level it's absolute gospel truth, where's Jay Z's 'Stan'? You might not like it, but Eminem broke the white American mainstream in a way no other rapper has before or since |

Eminem skintone got him all those sales its simple
remember you got people that don't like hip hop but Eminem their skintone so they gravitate to him plus who buys more hip hop white people so when Eminem came on the scene and they seen somebody that look like that they bought it up more Jay-Z on the other hand made some young black males who want to be rappers not only take the rapping serious but the business. 50 Cent wouldn't say nothing different |

Eminem mightve brought it to a wider audience of mostly white kids who might very never listened to hip hop if they didn't see someone that looked liked them.
But no I'm sorry but it isn't true. Some of the super lyricists always say they respect and love Em but way more people that are actually active in hip hop such as rappers, djs and people that actually have something to do with it and aren't just fans that casually listen to the music talk about Jay way more. Like him or not he's one of the best rappers and has shown people you can come from nothing and be a billionaire in under 50 years so he's an inspiration to a lot of people |

arguable.
Without Jiggas success (and Dame), we likely dont get State Prop, dipset, Kanye, Good Music. Without Eminems success, we dont have G unit, D12, Game, Kendrick, Griselda or "insert white rapper name here". But Eminem actively sought out artists he thought were dope whereas Jigga didnt really wanna put nobody but Bleek on ![]() |
