Exactly! You talking to a true PLK fan here. I tried to tell him on Twitter one time about it and he blocked me. He's a genius lyricist but his vocals OFTEN get drowned out, I say about 35% it's hard difficult to hear what he saying. But me being a true fan I dissect it, but to a rap fan who wants to hear what Banks doing now, it's hard to understand him.
Nothing worse than listening to someone rap and you can't understand wtf they saying.

I heard a track hear and there from banks and some of the quality is low. More all of it but enough to make me wish he had some help and affiliation.

Them and instrumentals and west coast production dvds paid all my bills from 2000-03. I had a mix tape spot on Steinway in Queens and another mix tape spot on 238 and white plains rd. Even after they lost popularity I could still do numbers with the first three mix mixtapes. Folks just bought them over and over. Imagine they put those out as albums back then.
