HBCU games were on espn plus this season. That isn't ESPN. They showed a couple Jackson St games this year on the network and the SWAC title game but they have shown that game every year as well as the MEAC title games being on national TV. That was done before Deion. The last 10 years has seen several of the Classics on ESPN and that was before Deion. The movement to get more attention on HBCU athletics has gone on for longer than the two years Deion was employed by Jackson St.

The black man a lot of people want to buy the Washington Football team from Snyder is the one who got this media ball rolling on HBCU sports yet we never hear folks shouting out the name of Byron Allen and his impact on this movement. Many NBA players have been pushing the agenda to get more for HBCUs the last 10 years yet it only gets mentioned at the all star game interviews and that was before Deion. Robert Smith has been doing a major part to move the needle on HBCUs and we rarely hear about him or his work.

As for Shannon Sharpe he is misinformed but we expect that out of him in certain situations
