![]() Before you come in this thread saying I’m just hating I’m not Breath Of The Wild is a masterpiece I never finished but what I played was great. The influence it had on the gaming industry as a whole was bad because most developers are trying to capture that same Nintendo magic but can’t.
Most of these games come out to be Breath If The Wild lite with bland environments. We are getting games we like free world but at what cost? |

Don't blame BOTW for its influence. Blame the industry for lazily tryna copy it without understanding what made BOTW work.
I mean, this is the industry in general. It routinely takes the wrong lessons from groundbreaking games, and tries to recapture its thunder. This ain't new. Last edited by DaOmega_1; 12-08-2022 at 06:30 PM.. |

If you can think of it, it probably works. Last edited by DaOmega_1; 12-09-2022 at 11:48 PM..

That's popular media. No different than the oversaturation of Trap autouned music, movie/TV show remakes and open world games and hero shooters like a overwatch

Never got to finish it. Was really high in the game (had two temples beat and a lot of items and either I or one of my kids deleted my save. Never picked it back up. But it seemed good what I did play

Zelda been influencing since 86
If it wasn't for Zelda we wouldn't have GTA... ask R* they've admitted already... Zelda 1 is the first console open world game... deal with it So yeah it's a good thing... but ppl these days tryna copy it to a tee instead of being influenced by its ideas and innovations so that's a bad thing... but Zelda been pushing the envelope and should continue to do so... Zelda invented targeting... nuff said |

BotW is way to crazy with what you can do... you can k*ll an enemy with another enemy and the crazy part is the enemies can k*ll you by picking up and tossing other enemies at you too

I kinda get what you saying. It's a good game but yeah all these idiots try to copy and most can't
Just making open world games just to have an open world Even if there's not much to do in these clone games but "omg it's an open world game!" Most of them are just time wasters |

Beat it and played it for months. However, I wish it was next Gen and they flipped the game like Mario after your beat it. They could have easily done that.
BOTW 2 is on Amazon a pre-order. |

I mean that and elden ring set a standard for open world games. The exploration in those games are top notch. Most other games can emulate butbthey havent matched it the weapons breaking better change in the sequel though
