I thought it was going to be bad the way people made out

I take reviewers opinion the same way I do with Bx when it comes to music. And movie recommendations, with a grain of salt. The reviewers are basically paid to find the bad sh*t in the game so they get hyper focused on sh*t 98% of the world don't care about or wouldn't have even noticed

Sword & Shield was basura after not playing the past 3-4 series. I'm waiting.

25 hours in. I have 4 badges.

Feels like a 3 steps forward 1 step backwards Game.

8.5/10 just on what I played.

Love the open world, barely any hand holding. Wish there were more side quests like Arceus. Also wish the catching mechanic stayed like Arceus.

This would have been a perfect launch release on a newer gen Switch. The scale of the world is too ambitious for this old hardware.

Lastly, the difficulty is just right after a few badges. But unless you do all three main quest at the same time, the level doesn’t scale. Like if you get all 8 badges from Gyms, when you go to clear bases, your opponents will still have Pokémon at level 15 while you at 40+.

You can get charizard. But the rest will be able to transfer over once home get compatibility

Some pokemon are exclusive to each version. You can look up the differences for that but one of the notable differences with that is the new paradox pokemon are different in both games. Scarlet has ancient versions of some pokemon while Violet has future versions.

Also the professor and school is different depending your game. Violet got the better color for the school uniform imo but I went with Scarlet because I liked the exclusives on there more
