the double standard in hip hop between female fans & male fans
one of these rappers admitted to drugging & robbing people & got a million dollar endorsement deal + superbowl ad after........
the other sarcastically joked about putting in a pill in a drink & was stripped of a millon dollar contract with reebok........ the rapper who admitted to the drugging was universally praised + backed by female fans as empowering while the male fans who called out the double standard were mocked ............. ![]() |

OP you cool but you aint saying anything new
This isn't even a rap issue. Women get a pass on a lot of sh*t. It's almost like... "payback" or women now can speak up and say and do sh*t because back in the day they didn't have a voice . Bs all around Thats why in Godfather, Vito tells Micheal "Women and children can be careless but not men" It's true. Men. ( especially straight men and black men) gotta be on there ps and qs these days. Women and children don't have consequences like men do It's society problem. Not just a rap fan problem Good post |

OP is right.
Artists and the hip hop media are MORE s*xist than the fans though. Same thing for people who feel like Megan Thee Stallion and the Roc Nation bi*ch are immune from being snitches because they have v*ginas. Imagine if it were Blueface's girlfriend who had the black eyes instead of him or if Charles Hamilton would have punched the woman who hit him. Same way Lauryn Hill can say something like "you wonder why women hate men" but imagine if ANY man said the same thing about women. There are double standards that work the other way. The big and obvious one is that it's ok for men to fu*k as many women as possible |

Revenge implies you're trying to get someone back for something they did wrong to you. It's about empowering females over men and being perpetually antagonistic.. My problem is I think there are GOOD and BAD women but I don't want to be a male vs female thing. There are decent human beings and pieces of sh*t. I don't want anyone hating an entire s*x over it. | |

It’s cuz Cardi said it in a goofy manner and is always goofy and playing round online, she stay saying and doing wild ratchet sh*t
Whereas Rick Ross said it like he was being creepy and not humorous. It’s like when Em would talk about r*pe, he WANTED you to know he was just being an a**hole or using dark humor. Ross said that line just to say it. There was no punch, there was no humor, there was no finish….. Cardi goofy, whacky, ratchet a*s is a personality. So u don’t know if she’s being serious or not. That’s why no one cared bout it |

I don't really understand why Ross lost an endorsement over that line. It's ok to talk about k*lling n*ggas and selling drugs, but that's too far? Cardi said her line and guarantee she was telling the truth, but if no victims came forward or went to the police, what do you expect to happen?

the context of both was pretty different, ross said it in a rap song which at the time was big. cardi said the drugging/robbing n*ggas in the past thing in a IG live.
