team was hot the whole last 2/3 of the season, finished strong...and Strider was the main dude who was injured...they had a bye, and he came in and pitched hurt like an idiot (the org gets blame too) and got his sh*t rocked...

They played almost the whole damn season without Albies...the Phillies were/are a really good team...won 87 games in a division with two 101 game winners. There's absolutely no reason to think they'd regress to 82 right now...the disrespect...they went out and beat good teams in the playoffs by simply outplaying them.

thats the old way of thinking in terms of leadoff and if i took what you are saying, schwarbs isnt a 2 hole hitter either. you arent really going to change my mind after seeing what schwarbs did out the leadoff spot this year. if trea is leadoff im not mad at it, just not what i would do. maybe its an unpopular opinion but i like schwarbs leading off

They probably won't care if they win a couple over the next 5 to 6 years. If, by 2028 they have won two rings but the players start to decline no one will care.

But, it will be interesting to see what 2028 looks like with 35 year old Harper (and the injuries keep piling up), and a 35 year old Turner who will most likely lose speed by then both making ~$53 million together combined.
