One word "inflation". The highest grossing movie of all time is Avator in 2009 with $2,922,917,914. But if you factor in inflation, technically the highest grossing movie of all time is Gone with the Wind in 1939 with $402,352,579. Inflation plays a huge factor in this argument. Here is the reason why:
Jordan played a total of 15 years (technically only 13 because I don't count those Wizard years). lol!!! He only played those years to bring revenue, attendance, and TV to Washington and still average over 20 ppg. Plus people forget that he took almost two years off during his prime after his father died to play baseball.
The man was 6 for 6 in the finals (100%). He damn near had a 50% winning percentage and went up against the Magic Lakers, the Bird Celtics, the Gary Payton SuperSonics, the Bad Boy Piston and etc. During those times, the game was more physical and the three point shot was not utilized as much. I think we can all agree that Jordan was a better shooter than Lebron. Can you imagine if the three point line was a big part of the game in the 90's?. Man, Jordan would be easily the scoring champ at 6'7 within 13 years (while taking almost 2 years off). In addition, Jordan never chased rings. It was unheard of teaming up with other superstars. Also, when the game is on the line, you would you rather have the ball? MJ or Leshame James?
Keep in mind, the NBA wanted to sell the NBA more to TV audience and offense sells. So Lebron played during a generation where the NBA promoted offense, while Jordan played in a era where players damn near required NFL football pads.
Lebron is 4 of 9 or 10 (I stop counting). Draymond said that Lebron beat the greatest team ever (i.e., The Golden State Warriors). He is both right and wrong. He is right, because Lebron had the opportunity to play and beat the greatest team ever. MJ never had that opportunity because he was the greatest player on the greatest team. Man, stop. Can we end this drawn out barbershop conversation? Really, it is a battle between generation. Hell, these Gen Z's think NBA Youngboy and Lil Baby are better rappers than Pac, Jay-Z and Biggie. So we will never see eye to eye on this topic. But I can agree that Lebron is better all around athlete from a physical perspective. But that is where the buck stops. Jordan is the greatest player ever..... Six rings. I give Lebron his props, but people wear Jordans, not Lebrick's...
