It was Russia and OPECs fu*k up. If there is anybody to blame domestically it’s the gas producers who refused to expand refining capacity. Crude oil production is higher than ever, so getting oil isn’t the problem, it’s turning it in to gasoline that’s lagged behind, and the people responsible for doing that intentionally reduced production.
Biden and the Dems proposed an anti-price gouging bill aimed to prevent this, but the GOP filibustered and shot it down
Not sure you can name a single policy from the executive branch that you can tie directly to causing gas price inflation.
