Game of the Year Elden Ring I mean, of course it is. If you're surprised, or angry, then kindly shove it. Elden Ring is my game of the decade. It's truly a masterpiece. Few other games have had me dive in so deep, and left me so damn excited to replay it so many times in one year. I have not shut up about Elden Ring—and I won't until every gamer has become Elden Lord. Now, the only thing on my holiday list is that we get a DLC announcement at the Game Awards. They have created more than one masterpiece.

Well deserved, other good games this year but nothing that comes close to Elden Ring.

They've revived the open world genre by bringing back what makes an open world so great, exploration.

Best open world game in 20 years.

I think it probably is the best open world game since Morrowind but what I meant was it's the best open world in a game since Morrowind.

Witcher 3 is also a strong contender for best open world game, but it's open world isn't as good as Elden Ring's.

GoW and ER winning all these awards Sony games really sweeping up every goty award

I’m about 25 hours in. Started as a wretch ad now I’m wearing a dead soldier’s armor and using any weapon I’m able to wield. Still learning how to use magic effectively but I am really loving this frustrating experience. I fought bosses and made that sh*t personal like I don’t care how long it takes I’m whoopin yo a*s.

I will eventually catch up in the GOW series but I’m not mad it ER being GOTY. I’d put HFW in that conversation too. Great gaming experience. Only downside is you can be OP by the end of the game and it takes away some of the excitement. Overall, it was a good year for gaming. At least to me it was.
