This happens all the time. If you look at the writers list on certain songs, you will see several names involved in the creative process. The fact that it's Quentin Miller had everyone questioning it lol n*ggas think Nas called Quentin to write the song for him while also giving him full credit on the album credits lol

This is the OG:
Still listening ![]() Edit: Him yelling “I’m not a ghost” has me weak ![]() He should’ve just said he worked with Hitboy sh*t; I understand Nas is the bigger name but he should’ve clarified his contributions instead of just name dropping. My bad for slapping your later post OP but it could’ve been from Hitboy’s camp as well. TLDR: QM pulled up on Hitboy during a studio session and bounced ideas around i.e QM didn’t ghostwrite Nas sh*t. Most importantly, QM is not a ghost. ![]() And yo, it’s funny that a combination and Twitter and Boxden made this sh*t visible. The interview is a couple months old but after the tweet was posted on Boxden it grew some legs and made it to other sites. Whoever runs vlad’s website even posted about it the following day. Ghostwriting is different than collaborating, writing with, sharing ideas, editing etc for rappers.
Ghostwriting is you straight up writing a verse (or more) for someone like Jadakiss writing Puffs verse on All About the Benjamins. If you in the studio writing with other artists around and you're asking em "Yo how this sound" they might give you ideas to make it sound better, more catchier...whatever the case may be. People like Nas, Kanye etc are dudes that give credits and share royalties to the artists that help with the process of the final song. ...but of course in this microwave society a lot of people won't explain it to you like that ![]() |
