I'm a big fan of both projects from our hiphop veterans; which are you choosing over the other?

recency bias would be the only explanation for a kd 3 vote

4:44 is my pick. It was so short that there was no room for error, and he didn't really have any missteps. The songs were well crafted. KD3 is dope though.

4:44 was Jay's Untitled album plus he got Damian Marley on one of the tracks.

Jay is still a Nas stanboy

Can't front, I ran 4:44 back to back to back.

KD3 is dope too though. 4:44 was special because Hov kind of went to another level with the content that he used. Not saying he said anything that was done before but Hov was doin it. It was dope to hear him let his guards down

4:44 was special.

One of Hov's best albums.

I think it's time to consider it a classic....

I second this opinion, k*ll Jay-Z is still one of the most honest records in recent memory.

Gotta judge at least a few yrs down the line

way too fresh to judge a classic album vs a recent album

Jay’s vulnerability on that project is the reason I’m going 444. Introspective Hov different

y'all going to make me go back to 4:44 because I didnt even listen to that album much if at all. Saw it as Jay-z d*ck eating nas main life is good producer crafted his own version of the album and kind of came to that conclusion early.
Will go back to it.

i think Life Is Good would be a better comparison to 444. 444 has better production (since NO ID is a better producer than HIT BOY). Magic is better than KD3.

444 wins. the KD/ Magic run isnt as personal as 444 and NAS is exploring different sounds and revisiting others and the results are mixed (fivio's verse is horrible on spicy but hearing NAS k*lling a trap beat in 2021/2022 is still crazy).

For ME personally 444 is more relatable to me. Almost losing my family due to me cheating. Recognizing my flaws and shortcomings. The pursuit of legacy.

It's funny cause that same year prior to 444 I put my kids as authorized users on my credit card. I'm proud of the progression of both artist... But to me from reasonable doubt to 444 is like the soundtrack to black American males life.
