premier has different styles. Some sh*t is a bunch of noises cut together in rhythm. Some is just loops, some is loops cut to be more rhythmic. Some is "epic" and orchestral and some is not at all. He does stick to similar tempos and drums but he gets creative with the samples.

He ripped off the Korg M1 Organ setting ‘bass’ and damn near copied the bassline from a Robin S track called ‘show me love’ for like 10 tracks

Got a bit more moog to it vs the old synth/track, but he loves to stick in that key and vibe

Dj Premier got a sound bro. Like rza and even Eminem. Dj mustard used the same drums for like 3 hits lol. More power to him but that aint the same as Premier

I think spicy AND yellow mustard both have their strong points
