I think Hershel being so close is an example of people getting tired of "politicians". Same way they were tired when Trump got elected. Grasping at anything, desperate for change and help. It doesn't make it any better the left lumps other issues in with the ones that should matter more, basically shooting themselves in the foot to getting things done. If I am missing something, uninformed or misinformed, somebody put me on, I'm open to facts always.
