Its about to not be because the govt is issuing in their CBDC digital money

Having a major bank join in on this has people calling SBF a plant and what happened was intentional the entire time

No regulation or protections for sh*t. Hence, "Not Your Keys, Not Your Coins."

Get your sh*t off of exchanges and hold your own sh*t until the SEC hammers in regulation. If that never comes, then continue to own your keys.

I’d rather have a govt regulated market than an unregulated one dominated by scammers, marketers and pumpndumpers

Regulation isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's necessary for long term adoption.

You're right
Regulation means less volatility, smaller returns and more sideways action. Think of stocks or 7% gains in a year.

Regulation literally k*lls everything crypto was supposed to be. For the people, by the people except you can't trust the people who make up the trust system you're supposed to...trust in?

I mean, it makes sense though. It's the reason we have laws - the majority of people are too ill-equipped to live without oversight.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are still going to be decentralized.

Regulation will help a*sure clear Ponzi coins and fraudulent exchanges dont victimize the public.

plenty of instances of exchanges being hacked, closing up shop with investor funds, etc.

But if we want crypt to become globally adopted as an a*set class, it will have to become regulated just like stocks.

Long gone are the days of using bitcoin as a means of hiding wealth from governments. But the tradeoff is the opportunity for crypto as a whole to revolutionize the financial industry on a major scale.

That's just it - the idea of an a*set class is justification for not being able to use it for its intended purpose - not having big brother having oversight on what you do. Wide scale adoption of regulation means that crypto as it was created has failed. The people have lost.

But you need societal adoption to give it value. When it became legal tender in certain aspects it legitimized it. But to be able to adopt it as legal tender on a large scale, regulation is mandatory. Uncle Sam is always going to get his cut no matter what. Personally I'd rather have it regulated, make it easier to pay taxes and legitimately use it as a means of building wealth.

If it's all dark web, cold storage wallets to sit away with no actual use case, how much value could it really have? That's what gives these anti-crypto people ammo. It has no value until it's regulated and adopted by society.

Hey, I'm not arguing with you on that. It's just amazing to see the epic levels of docility that happen now that Wyatt Earp came through and told the cowboys to get down or lay down.

Everybody that profited off the bubble either graduated to whale size or cashed out already.
