Once Upon A Time Chris Paul Was Robbed Of The Regular Season MVP!

Here's the in-depth empirical data that Chris Paul was robbed of the regular season MVP.

Chris Paul

21.1 PPG - 11.6 APG - 4.0 RPG - 2.7 SPG - 2.5 TOV - 52% EFG - 48% FG - 37% 3PT - 85% FT

Kobe Bryant

28.3 PPG - 5.4 APG - 6.3 RPG - 1.8 SPG - 3.1 TOV - 50% EFG - 46% FG - 36% 3PT - 84% FT

PER

Kobe = 24.3

Paul = 28.3

OWS (Offensive Win shares)

Kobe = 9.5

Paul = 13.2

-------------------------

DWS (Defensive Win Shares)

Kobe = 4.3

Paul = 4.6

WS ( Win shares)

Kobe = 13.8

Paul = 17.8

-----------------------------

WS/48 (Win shares per 48 minutes)

Kobe = .208

Lakers Offensive Rating with Kobe

Everyone should know by now that I don't like LeBron but he's the greatest small forward in NBA history and an all-time top 5 player.
@EMER1TUS can't explain his reasoning for saying Kobe > Bron because he's all emotion without any logic.

I'm still having a hard time understanding how a player can be better than another player when the former never once led the NBA in PER, VORP or Winshares ever in his twenty year career.

Can someone answer that question without emotion and name calling, lol and with facts, logic and rationality.

How can a player be better than another player when the former never once led the NBA in PER, VORP or Winshares ever in his twenty year career?

Based on PER and VORP the former wasn't even the best player in the NBA ever.

Perception. Cp been low key this whole time. Real consistent, not flashy. His great play gets lost in the highlights. Especially since he doesn't get to shine in the playoffs for the various reasons through out his career. Shame. The real ones know though.

Kobe is top 15. Bron is top 2-3.

There's no real argument for Kobe > Bron. That simple.

I also thought CP3 was robbed
But the deciding factor was the Lakers were the top seed and Kobe never won an MVP prior after putting up crazy stats and game winning shot after game winning shot
I’m finally ok with Kobe winning the MVP that year now
Let it go

The only 4 people that i can recall who truly had an argument of being robbed of an MVP was Jason Kidd in 02, Wilt in 62, jordan in 87 & kobe in 06....

Damn a team record & context, some players surpass all that.

Jason Kidd's argument would be less about #s & more about his impact on the team. The mediocre talent he was surrounded around that he carried from one of the worst the yr before to one of the top 5 best in the league. Wilt avg 50.4 pts & 25.7 rbs(ain't no telling how many blocks) in 62 while Jordan avg 37.1 pts 5.2 rbs 1.5 blks & 2.9 stls in 87 & Kobe avg 35.4 pts 5.4 rbs .4 blks & 1.8 steals in 06

I would even say Lebron should've won in 06 if not kobe or nash & Kobe should've won in 07 instead of Dirk

If winning 1 more game for the historic LA lakers vs winning 56 with the sh*tty New Orleans hornets made a difference they should’ve just said they was never giving it to cp3.

That team was terrible he was robbed

Jordan was actually robbed of five MVPs in 87, 89, 90, 93 and 97.

Jordan led the NBA in PER, VORP and Winshares an incredible seven consecutive seasons from 87-93.

Magic Johnson was on a stacked super team in the 80s.

The NBA didn't want Jordan to break Larry Bird's three consecutive regular season MVPs.

You seem to have a severe reading comprehension problem. OP was asking how come Kobe never once led the NBA in PER, VORP or Winshares but many people on Boxden claim he was better than LeBron.

You always come to OP's threads to hate without adding anything factual or important to the argument which means you lack intelligence and insight. You're just here to bring your toxicity.
