What bias would the independent doctor have to say he’s ok to go back in?

If Tua told him it’s his back and he passed the test, what’s the doctor supposed to do? Or the Dolphins?

Everybody with 2 fu*kin eyes could see he wasn't right after the hit in the Buffalo game. What I don't like is now they're going to throw this dude under the bus to protect everybody else cause he doesn't work for the shield.

Rightfully so. After that first injury and he collapsed after he got up he should not have been cleared to play the following week. A slight hit on his head the following game and he needed to be taken of on a cart for fks sake. Yeah, should've never been cleared.

LMAO NFL is such a joke throwing in there ‘independent’ doctor - he works for the NFL, how the fu*k can you fire someone who’s a true independent doctor… this is the NFL trying to shift any blame from their selves and trying to act like they care about player safety and that players aren’t cleared to play who are concussed ALL THE TIME

Again….

What reason would the doctor have to send Tua back in the gage if he was actually determined as having a concussion?

If the doctor thought he was actually concussed, who does he report to that would make him feel obligated to put him back in?

I can see that scenario too. A lot of former players have talked about how they've faked the concussion tests to get back in the game in their playing careers.

From who?

He’s an independent doctor hired by the NFLPA.

The NFLPA is firing him.

Who was pressuring him to put Tua back in?

All this to avoid the truth that the owner pushed for Tua to play cause it would be another notch on their belt if they took out the Bengals. sh*t backfired and Bengals might have come out their slump

Yeah back in the day but you can't fake these test. The protocols won't allow you to pass if you're not right

The owner doesn’t influence the doctor who sent him back in the game

If the doctor says he can’t go back in the coach and owner can’t override his decision.

Goes both ways. If the doctor says he can play, the team isn’t going to say “the doctor is wrong”

Word.. they should still be liable even if he's independant and has his own practice and not an official team doctor, they hired him to give the OK on players.
