McLaren 720s

How yíall feel about the McLaren 720s ? I read mixed reviews on them. Iíve read when the car is functioning well, itís a fun drive. Others say, itís not worth the headache since it tends to have a lot of computer problems.

Itís either this or the Aventador.

TBH I'd rather have the McLaren GT. It's easier to live with. Either way, be prepared for the maintenance costs.

if u cop 720, aventador will still be lingering in your mind somewhere

not sure if its true the other way

from my personal experience, 720 was surprisingly easy to live with. aventador, not so much. but every drive was an occasion. i have rather high tolerance in living with inconvenience but it was the first car i honestly said to myself, i cannot daily this, no way (not that it was meant to be)

Up until the latest 765LT, the 720S is one of the fastest cars you could buy right off the lot. They mop the floor with damn near everything in stock form.

Depends on if you're buying new or used. On average the Aventador is AT LEAST $150k more expensive on the used market. They not even in the same price range. If you're looking for speed go with the 720S. Either way maintenance costs are going to be a bi*ch but I'd take my chances with the Aventador in terms of reliability. Plus those McLarens tend to have fitment issues from factory. I'm a Lambo guy through and through but McLarens are alright. Choose wisely though. The last Aventador just rolled out the factory a couple days ago and these V12 exotics are only going to get more expensive as time goes by because electric cars are becoming the norm.

Mclaren needs to drop in a manual transmission on one of these.

See ! I been seeing these a lot lately. I think itís the most reliable out of all the models, but I prefer the Bentley Continental GT.

You definitely buy the V12 Aventador. It’ll be worth millions in 2030. Can’t say the same about the 720S.

Audi R8 is like 90% of the performance at 50% of the cost and less of the headaches of an exotic. Even a GTR is more livable.

Bruh an Audi R8 is no where near a 720s in performance lol like no where near a 720s is a good 7-8 car lengths faster from almost any speed i had an R8 V10 before my Huracan. All Iím gong to say op is run far far away from anything McLaren except the new GT. The 720s, 600LT and 570s are plagued with issues. My boys 720s just caught on fire like a ton of others do and burned to ashes on a Rally we did. Their electronic gremlins alone will make you want to sell the car after a month. My tuned 570s had more problems then any car Iíve ever owned in my life. One day the seat wouldnít work, check engine light on and off, car wont turn on, key wouldnít work, battery issues, transmission issues all at only 6k miles. Their resell is horrible for a reason idk you but if you want to hop in a car and enjoy it donít get a 720s. Their interior is also horrible and feels like a go kart, their nav screen performs like a 12 year old programmed itÖ

991/992 Turbo s, Huracan, R8 V10 + or McLaren GT , they revised a lot on the McLaren GT and it has the 720s motor but detuned and a 10x better interior and built way better

Mclarens hold their price , worthwhile to have one as if you get tired you can't sell for a decent price.

Sorry brotherman, I donít believe in workarounds. Either get it or donít. Kinda like when n*ggas be saying get the Q8 instead of paying all the money for the Urus.

The n*gga want the mf Urus.

was in the dealership a couple years back & almost bought one but backed out… drove their example up & down knightsbridge & everything but mclaren’s aren’t really for me, just like lambo’s…

my boy sold his early due to everlasting technical issues, but it was really the quickest thing at that price point back then… the 765 does even LESS for me, only mcchicken I’d really want is the senna or speedtail

Build quality is sh*t, go with the Aventador. Next time you close up to one look at all the panel gaps, that will tell you everything you need to know, sh*ts unreliable too.

LOL. I guess thatís the nail in the coffin. Been seeing a lotta people in my city with McLarens. I knew they were unreliable, but didnít know they were basically money pits.
