I signed up for a month just to see how it is. Has 3 tiers and you get a certain amount of credits based on the tier you sign up for.
All the movies have a credit price by the showtime in the app. The credit price is obviously lower for early shows than evening. Weekends are higher too. On the cheapest plan for $10 you can probably check out anywhere from 2-3 movies a month. I think unused credits roll to the next month so some months you might be able to pull off 4 movies.
I think the most expensive plan is $30 but I can't remember how many credits that gets you. I think people were complaining that the price is higher by 5 or 10 dollars in NYC and Cali.
You still have to go to the theater first, check in, and then go buy the ticket after they load the card they'll send out. No premium formats but it does work for most theaters.
Personally I still think AMC is the best movie sub you can get if you have one near you. 21-24 bucks a month for 3 movies a week, online purchases with fees waived, any format is supported, and discounts on large popcorn and drinks. The rewards points add up quick for $5 vouchers too.
I have a theater a lot closer to my house than AMC so that's the only reason I'm interested again. If it works, it'll be good for people who have theaters around that show flicks that don't get wide releases.
