I said this a few years ago that the world will become subscription based. Fully furnished homes are next up.
They hooked you with no longer owning your entertainment to get you conditioned and ready to accept. Music, video games, movies.

You will own nothing and like it. The rest of you morons will be living your best lives in the metaverse in your subscription based studio apartment for 2k per month, in north dakota.

They found the loophole to get around the constitution and end freedom. Place every aspect of human activity under digital permission. The government is definitely setting the table to make things too high to own and buy outright for the average person. Everything is going electric/digital because this is how you control everything. As long as you want to use their product, you will have to grant them permission for the product to function. They aren't creating one-off products anymore that are used on a continuous basis. Everything will be digital propriety and subscription based. Get your sh*t together now, buy your property or you will be forever subject to their bullsh*t.

Timing is off. But this will take off. Imagine if this company made this announcement during the bandemic.

It’s been a thing in a few major cities. The subscription service by Cadillac is decent but I’d rather own something than pay that amount every month. I can see this cheaper version catching on for people who don’t need a car all the time.

i doubt it

just higher lease cost with built in maintenance they cut out the banks out and bundle things like insurance, maintenance and other perks in one single monthly payment.

no long term commitment

Volvo

911 starts at 3200 a month

The subscription includes full-detail washes as part of its fee

If you’re in a major city and like caddies it’s not that bad. Especially if you're someone who doesn't want to deal with maintenance.

A car payment, property tax (on sale of the car and yearly in some states), maintenance, insurance, etc on a 2023 can add up quick. Especially if you want something sporty a majority of the time. Being able to swap them out and get something clean and fully detailed is also love. Sports car in the summer, SUV in the winter, Escalade when a family trip is planned.
