No turbo engine yet

I love this car. I will admit though, I dont really like the engine, I wish it had an inline 4 instead. However, the engine being a flat 4 really does make it handle amazing. I haven't driven this new 86 but I have driven the 1st generation a few times and it's still top 5 most fun cars I've ever driven.

Edit: this car looks way better than the "Supra" btw.

Needs the BMW turbo 4, an e-diff, and som stuck Michelin 275's in the rear. They do that then I will cop one as a little weekend runabout.

I wouldnt buy this first MY. Too risky especially out of warranty.

Not enough power, that fa20 is a pos. The one in my old wrx was pretty good just used to get real hot ID constantly watch the temps while racing and let it cool off a lot of guys used to make a bunch of back of back passes and blow theirs up. The non turbo one was said to have better rods but that whole boxer motor sh*t was a pos in my opinion full boltons stock turbo it made 406 whp which wasn’t bad for a daily meh, I’d skip the brz just because of the motor

I love the GT. Here in England I actually live opposite a Toyota dealership. New supra/GT 86 always on the forecoats teasing a brother. With that said, I can't afford the GT so I brought the cheap version I can afford a 04 celica. Very comparable but obviously not as good. Same as this one, but with a super loud exhaust on it:

This dude is just talking about what COULD happen in the future. To date, there’s only a single documented case out of thousands of cars sold. Not sure that’s enough to warrant calling this MY “garbage”.

I really like the simple design.

Love the new design, at least they gave it a slight boost in power,and got rid of the mid range flop in the power band.For around 30K, and RWD ,not bad if your looking for a budget sports coupe.

On to the car, terribly slow. 0-60 in over 6.9 seconds for is terrible for an automatic sports car. There's no good reason why this doesn't have a turbo either.

There is a good reason why. it would eat into the supra sales, a turbo would probably make this a 5s 0-60, at that point no one is buying the supra 2.0 as that car is a 5s 0-60.

Its slow asf on purpose.
