Makes sense when you think about. Husbands of narcissistic, self-entitled women are more likely to to splurge on engagement rings in order please their wives/fiancées. A man who doesn’t go overboard when buying a ring likely has a more down to earth woman that’s easier to live with and easier to please. Women who are more about the wedding than the marriage are more likely to require a gaudy engagement ring.
