Weekend PC Game Deals

image

Before we go back and continue the summer sale picks run from last week, a quick look at Epic Games Store's triple giveaway is in order. The weekly promotion brought copies of Iratus: Lord of the Dead, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, as well as Geneforge 1 - Mutagen.

Iratus arrives as a Darkest Dungeon-inspired roguelike, but this time you're an evil necromancer using the raised undead to breach the overworld. Meanwhile Hood is PvPvE team-based multiplayer experience where you go against AI and other players to pull of medieval heists. Lastly, Geneforge 1 – Mutagen is a remaster of the 2001 CRPG classic, offering a fantasy adventure experience that lets you get an army of your own mutant monsters.

The three games will remain free to claim through July 7, and next week, Epic Games Store will begin giving away k*lling Floor 2 and Ancient Enemy.

Which of these PC games should I get? I can't decide...

1. Red Dead Redemption 2 (fan of Spaghetti Westerns but never played the first)
2. Horizon Zero Dawn (really wanna play a cool Dinosaur game [i know they're robots]
3. Days Gone (fast zombies are not my style, but the hordes look insane)
4. death Stranding (huge Kojima fan but on the fence on this one is the story good?)

thanks boxden!

Red Dead Redemption 2. Too easy, Bro. The replayability of this game is crazy, especially with mods.

Edit: Just tacking on here, but there is a PS3 emulator on PC as well - you can probably use it to play the OG Red Dead Redemption.

RDR2 is cool but the world feels too big and directionless at times, production quality is through the fu*king roof though and it looks and plays incredible.

HZD looks great and plays great but I found it to be boring after a few hours.

Days Gone I really enjoyed, it's a pretty unremarkable open world zombie game but it does hit a certain spot in regards to the world and the atmosphere.

death Stranding is a wholly unique game with a pretty crap story that's wildly convoluted and unnecessary (Kojima on steroids honestly, the ending cutscene sequence is 2~ hours in length.) But the premise of the game is brilliant, contributing with other players to make the playable world easier to traverse is an incredible feeling. The music is great, the atmosphere is 10/10, the graphics are amazing.

If you want a more traditional gaming experience I'd go with RDR2. If you want something you've never done before I'd go with death Stranding.

Nice! I appreciate your input. I just noticed all the games I listed were open world games LOL! I guess I got burnt out after playing Breath of the Wild but I'm itching to play another now! death Stranding definitely has a unique premise to it that I'm intrigued by.

RDR2. Butbit goes on sale like everybother month at this point

Days Gone, I've heard is very repetitive. Like Mafia 3, minus the interesting characters
