![]() “Millions of Californians will be receiving up to $1,050 as part of a NEW middle class tax rebate. That’s more money in your pocket to help you fill your gas tank and put food on the table,” he tweeted.
Here's how it breaks down, according to Bloomberg Law. Individuals making as much as $75,000 a year, or joint filers making up to $150,000, would get $350 each plus $350 for one dependent for a maximum of $1,050. Those with income up to $125,000, or $250,000 filing jointly, would get $250 each plus another $250 for one dependent for a maximum of $750. Those earning more than $250,000, or $500,000 filing jointly, would get $200 each plus $200 for one dependent for maximum of $600. The budget agreement also includes a $47 billion multi-year infrastructure and transportation package, and a pause in state diesel sales tax for a year starting Oct. 1. It does not include halting the gasoline tax most pay at the pump, which is expected to increase July 1. In the wake of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, $200 million has been earmarked for reproductive health care for those seeking sanctuary in California where abortion is legal. Newsom has also signed into law a bill protecting patients and providers in California against attempts by other states to extend their anti-abortion laws into the Golden State. State Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins tweeted her support for the package: “This budget agreement will bring relief to taxpayers in a significant and equitable way, putting our state’s wealth to work for Californians.” California a*sembly Speaker Anthony Rendon also tweeted, writing: “In our #CABudget we’re focusing our funds to help Californians most in need. We’re prioritizing climate action, infrastructure investments, reproductive health, and much more.” ![]() ***** Government handouts is one of the reasons we in this sh*t in the first place. What y’all doing with those “rebates” my CA tax paying citizens? Last edited by Vinyl19; 06-27-2022 at 04:08 PM.. |

You do realize the "handouts" are necessary because our government favors big businesses?
365 days of the year, rich people are getting tax breaks, opportunities to influence laws directly, and opportunities to make even more money that the average person never gets access to. This system that allows for the very top to rapidly accumulate wealth while the majority of the country lives check to check means you have to offer your struggling workers help. If you don't, who is gonna work for millionaires and billionaires that fund your campaign? The money should be spent on the people on the front end instead of the wealthy. The system is a*s backwards. |

A family could burn that in one visit to the grocery store , gas for your car is up , everyone's gas & electric bill have doubled or tripled , cars have gone up 15k , water bill have tripled , electronics have gone up 25% , this is a slap in the face after the government ruined the economy thru hateful measures towards other countries

Maybe we should have found a way to be more self sufficient so we don’t end up in this situation. Pump and refine our oil, stop paying farmers to farm corn and soy and diversify our crops. Stop letting companies outsource everything and dodge taxes to let them pay someone in Malaysia $3/hour to give their CEO a 5 million dollar bonus for their “record profits”
We’re one of the unique countries on earth that is resource rich, land rich and population rich. We have abundance everywhere and you turn around and realize that we have outsourced/imported so much that we are reliant on the rest of the world to keep our “comfort level”. |

They are no coercing people whose ideals align with their "progressive" policies to move there. The head of the HHS is saying that the byron admin is "looking into" providing transportation to those in need of a coat hanger funeral. It seems like they are trying to sell a mass migration of liberals to democratic strongholds with the gun law and abortion rulings. I would be remiss to say I don't get the feeling this tension will come to a head in a conflict pitting american against american... for a second round.

Highest gas rate premium at 53.9 cents per gallon. Going up in July...an individual making $75K a year would get $350. This would cover the tax premiums for about 207 gallons..if you filled up 25 gallons a week this would cover about 8 weeks worth of the tax premium.. smoke and mirrors political ploy while they still over tax their citizens.
