Lupe’s album is an easier listen. Dope bars and production. I’ve played it multiple times. I’ve played a few songs in Mr. Morale multiple times but never felt the need to revisit the entire album.

Lupe album is fire and one of his most accessible projects imma give it 9/10. Not a big fan of the Big Steppers disc i much prefer Mr. Morale disc and I don't find myself playing this Kendrick album like I do his other work.

Off KIOSK alone, don’t ever mention Kendrick in the same sentence as Lupe

Lupe easily for me. Since TPAB, kendrick’s albums have been one and done listens - I tried to force it with TPAB and damn until I just accepted that I wasn’t feeling them like that. With Mr Morale, I didn’t bother trying to force myself to like it after the first listen, I knew it wasn’t for me.

Sure. You Lupe Stans can believe what you want. I was on Lupe back in 2006 when I was just a freshman in HS and will tell you musically his albums ain't been hitting since The Cool, with the exception of Tetsuo & Youth.

Lyrically Lupe untouchable. But y'all seem to confuse lyricism with making good albums. Lupe is actually a victim of his own lyrical ability in that regard.

Whereas Kendrick uses his lyrical skill to bolster his music, Lupe actively hinders his music with his lyricism.

And tbh his album structuring and hooks are bland on this album. It listens like a 10 song mixtape that's not as good as Lupe's early mixtapes from his legendary run.

Felt the same way, Mr. Morale for me atleast was just like a quick listen with no real replay value; DMIZ on the other hand has been on rotation since yesterday.

That Kiosk beat is fu*king TERRIBLE and the vocals on that sh*t are even worse. I understand the co cept behind the vocals but nah.

Any objective ear can listen to these two albums and tell Mr Morale is way better with instrumentation, quality of sound, and coherent and clear rappin.

I ca never say sh*t about Lupes bars but the beats on most of this DMIZ are not good

Edit: to keep it a full stack Lupe - Shoes is better than anything on DMIZ in my opinion

Drogas Wave has the same problem as Drill Music. Aside from maybe 2 standout songs the rest of the music sounds THE SAME.

Kendrick will go down as the better rapper/musician when it's all said and done because he is.

i feel like lupe makes albums that rappers wish they could make

this doesnt always equate to his albums being better either i just feel like out of any rapper in the game lupe is the rappers rappers

this reminds me of t&y for some reason. just a dope vibe

as far as the topic its to early

but i dont find myself coming back to kendricks new sh*t like i though

No two songs on Drogas Wave sound alike
