I remember when Bloomberg introduced this as merely a safety tool around schools that were only on during school hours ....now it's clear as day it's been expanded as a revenue generating source along with looming congesting pricing scheme they're trying to milk car drivers dry.

Good news is that it's not permanent and has to be re-authorized 3 years from now which I hope will develop such a backlash that whoever is in charge by then will let the law sunset.

Thought that was the norm. There isn't a speed camera in the DMV that turns off at a certain hour. sh*t is definitely a cash grab but use WAZE and you should be fine.

If I am NYC I will catch the trains - but if I am going through it I am driving

Cats need to stop speeding through these corridors. I see them mainly around schools and other areas but there are reckless drivers in this city.

Speed cameras in residential areas? That should encourage folks to travel safely in places where there may be children, elderly etc. What regular person has an issue with that? Don’t go 10 over the speed limit..that’s hard?
