PS5 rest mode bricking systems?

Can anyone tell me what the issue is? I believe it was leaving it in rest mode. This is straight up disappointing. Less than a year old, waited 14 hrs in line. #RIPPS5. I'll wait for a revision before buying another one pic.twitter.com/JpIBAHp4AZ

That's what I thought... sigh.. thanks for confirming. Any idea if ps+ automatically saves like xbox? If not, my saves have bit the dust as well. I'm officially waiting for the slim model

I don't want to cast aspersions on this guy's intellect but I'm not certain he didn't unplug his PS5 while it was in rest mode.

Rest mode has always been an issue since the beginning. I just do a full power odd on mine.

I think my rest mode has only crashed like once in the year and a half I've had the system. & that may have been because of blackout.
My sh*t stay in rest mode. It's pretty dope being able to start downloads remotely, especially now that the new subscription doesn't allow cloud gaming in my area.

I usually keep mine in rest mode also. Haven't had a problem yet. Thankfully

Sucks for them. Never had an issue on my launch. Rest mode been enabled since inception

n*ggas really think every piece of equipment won’t fu*k up that’s ever made lol, that’s why there’s a warranty. From cars to electronics out of the millions that’s made some gone fu*k up somewhere, if it happens to you I know it ducks up your day tho. If it’s a same issue happening hopefully manufactures fix the flaw but if it’s only a couple hundred out of millions they gone say fu*k if they accounted for a few bad units

My ps5 is the biggest piece of sh*t ever. Constantly loses internet connection. Run a diagnotic, everything's fine, then loses connection a few minutes later again.

And I'm having an issue where my second controller keeps automatically turning on and trying to override my main profile and if I sign in with the 2nd one, my main controller automatically tries to make me sign back in on it(like a constant tug of war)

Meanwhile my xbox works perfectly fine, all the time.

I'm a playstation guy at heart but I hate using it unless for offline games only. And even with that controller isssue, that's hard to do.

Neither of my two have had issues. Only annoying thing that happens from time to time is my disc version will boot with a 4:3 ratio.

I don't wanna p*ss off the Xbox dudes and I'm not gonna pick sides or make excuses for PS5, but this is probably a router issue.

Rebooting your router might be enough to fix this.
