Shareef O’Neal reveals that his dad wanted him to stay in school and not enter the NBA Draft.

He damn near never played in college too but was a 4* recruit.

I feel like he wasn’t dedicated to play in college having grown up around the NBA & with his dad being a NBA legend he sees the status & lifestyle of the NBA but didn’t experience or understand the hard work & sacrifice 95% of the league put in in college just to get to the NBA.

Wade son Zaire did the same sh*t. Lil n*gga felt like he belonged in the NBA cause that’s all he been exposed to as Wade’s son & felt it was beneath him to go play 4 years somewhere at Nebraska to develop his game & establish his own identity.

I didn't even realize until recently just how many business avenues Shaq has his hands in. Dude gonna make sure his kids straight in their future. Even if he doesn't spoon-feed them, he's gonna at least give them game so they can get it themselves.

Jordan's son Jeffrey Jordan had the same attitude and thought it was his birthright to play in the NBA.

Marcus Jordan was a little bit better than his older brother but he didn't have the same dedication, desire and drive as his Dad and he ended up quitting his college team.

All he does now is showoff on social media and ride his Dad's coattails.

That n*gga was always hurt. First he had the heart surgery and had to recover from that. Soon as he got back to normal he hurt his foot, elbow then ankle. In his mind he feels like I just need to stay healthy and if I do I can be an nba player. What the tweet didn't mention was he wanted to go overseas but Shaq told him go this route

These players kids hoop and workout with NBA players all the time so they believe they got what it takes

This makes absolutely no sense. Those kids understand the hard work and process they get that game from their parents. That’s why the league that was once filled with kids from inner cities is full of upper middle class kids.

They get a head start when their father tells them what drills and skilled training he went through in the pro’s. Shareef just doesn’t have the talent.

His Father was tall and had size, that’s why he was in the NBA.

His son has neither which is why he most likely won’t make it to the NBA.

He realized it was a mistake and is taking full blame for it. I'm sure he wants to be his own man and not "Shaq son" his whole career. It's showing that he makes his own decisions
