There’s this story of Ted Stepien, Cleveland Cavaliers owner in the 80s, who drafted and traded only for white players. Besides being racist, it a*sembled really bad teams due to having the wrong motivation to play a competitive sport. Why not let talent fill these positions?

That was a clever thought by Kareem...usually players say they get up when they play this player or that player, Kareem said naw bruh...put the spotlight on these clown owners & GMs out here

Kareem is the definition of not giving a damn about the media or what others thought...think about that, a LEGITIMATE SUPERSTAR at that time & talking like that along with his actions backing it up.

I love how well spoken yet intense Bill Russell was...he never uttered a word without giving it thought & was a thinker. That cackle he has is one of the funniest laughs i've ever heard...you can't help but at least chuckle when he bust out in one of those loud a*s laughs.

That's why i say he's in the top 10...his mentality in addition to the talent. The man was the real deal & had the skills to back it. I understand players are vastly more evolved more physically & skillswise but that level of intelligence & structured relentlessness is rare these days
