Stevie Wonder basically called Eminem a culture vulture

Interview from 2004

In a rare public outburst, Stevie Wonder has criticised Eminem for ridiculing Michael Jackson in a video, and suggested the rapper was hypocritical because he owed his success to poor and black people.

Jackson himself has already lambasted Eminem's video for the song Just Lose It, which makes light of child molestation charges against the self-styled King of Pop.

Wonder joined the fray by telling Billboard magazine that he was "really disappointed" in Eminem.

"Kicking someone when he's down is not a good thing," Wonder was quoted as telling the music industry trade publication.

"I have much respect for his work, though I don't think he's as good as [late rapper] 2Pac. But I was disappointed that he would let himself go to such a level."

"He has succeeded on the backs of people predominantly in that lower pay bracket, people of colour. So for him to come out like that is bullsh*t," Wonder said.

Why even bring this up? The 50 and Eminem haters are showing themselves as weird. It’s like they are slow

The ppl who bought his music were white tho.. u can't say he owe his success. Maybe his reason to be an MC yes but not even the talent to rap he owes.

Em says Dre literally saved his life. Proof also obviously had a huge affect as well. The AZs.

I think it's obvious quite a few black people bought Em albums

Interview from 2004??

Yall think the Pistons got a chance against the Lakers?

Kobe & Shaq are marquee names but Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, and Ben Wallace and them play TEAM BALL! It should be a fun series either way.

Eminem is probably one of the most humble cats outside of his persona he portrays when he raps.

One thing I'll give Marshall credit for - he NEVER takes the sole credit and acts like he invented the sh*t just because he's the most successful with it. He ALWAYS acknowledges the Black pioneers that paved the way.

I wish other culture biters (who shall remain nameless) did the same.

If eminem didn’t make that song just lose it about MJ, then Stevie wouldn’t have said that.

But I’m confused….. I thought most of em’s fans were white folks, cuz n*ggas aren’t playing his music in the hood…. Right?? Why would he owe his career to black people when 90% of his fans are white?

If that’s the case, the black artists, who’s crowd is made up of mostly white crowds at shows, do they owe their success to white people? Look at wiz Khalifa shows.

When it’s Eminem, there’s no one who dissed him that didn’t either bring up his daughter, or skin color. Ja, benzino, Nick cannon, Stevie, rick Ross…. All had to make us aware he was white
