Because petty crime doesn't happen on Wall st. The "stop and search" equivalent for Wall st. Is SEC probes, FBI inquiries, etc. You don't just "stop and search" multibillion dollar hedge funds. It's an elaborate process and essentially war cuz those hedge funds have entire law firms f*ghting for them.

Lots of these types grew up alongside the Attorneys general and other politicians/lawyers... Finance people just took a different route to power

I'm heading to work in Wall Street in August but have spent several weeks in NYC... I feel safer walking around Midtown or the Financial district than I do any other part of NYC. even as a black man, b/c the cops aint really on that.

Just like cops don’t protect and serve equally, they don’t traffic stop equally, they don’t police equally. Not that hard to understand.

Madoff stole billions and left many families desolate and destroyed....crime that is done to intentionally hurt is still crime..regardless of the stigma surrounding the method of pain inflected

Combination of racism and crimes that would warrant stop and frisk aren't happening like that aka violent and/or visible street crime. People in those type of areas likely arwnt carrying a weapon, dealing drugs openly in the street, robbing a store nearby or anything else that would require a stop and frisk. If they are carrying a weapon, they're not using it out in the street like *some cat hustling on the block.

Can't really pat People down for white collar crime so easily. These people commit crimes. They just keep that sh*t in the security of their homes, break rooms and offices
