When comparing their discographies, which group had the better production?

Personally I'm fu*king with both production wise, because the vibe is different with both groups for me and when I was growing up.

I was just starting middle school when The Low End Theory dropped and Scenario was my Joint and Midnight Marauders dropped two years later but like I said in the Funkmaster Flex thread

I was in high school when I was started noticing Outkast joints on the radio in bmore and the vibe for me just felt different I was feeling their songs more.

I think ima go with ATCQ because I was a boom bap hip hop head and I liked Ali and Q Tips production. They actually created a new sound for hip hop production the way they sampled and laid/arranged drums and percussion as well as the keys and pads. They influenced an entire generation of producers and a certain sound that echoed from 1990 even to now. Organized Noize was fire tho and they had a unique sound as well. Organize Noize got classic bangers.

I love ATCQ beats… so chilled, calm and relaxing

But I think Outkast beats were a bit ahead of it’s time. I think they rarely had any sampled beats…. Organized noize made most of those in house

per my taste now, my favorite album is southernplayalistic. Outkast also had much more varied production, I think.

ATCQ is the greatest group of all time no matter what you are judging by…I listened to their singles and watched their videos back in the day but wasn’t really checking for them because everything on tv was death Row this and West Coast that ( I was 12-13). About a month ago I started listening to ATCQs stuff and I feel like I missed out during my childhood. ATCQ sh*t is timeless. So much of what they did (mc’ing and production wise) are now staples in rap.

OutKast. Both are great as far as production and in general are #1/2 best hip hop groups for me but Kast production was so far ahead of its time that some of their sh*t sounds futuristic even now.

Outkast actually produced a lot of their most known songs from Atliens and Aquemini
