Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released this October. In a new Tweet from the official Call of Duty Twitter account, the studio announced Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28. In addition, the over-the-top video clip gave a sneak peak at some of the characters and potentially the cover art for the upcoming sequel. Not content with a simple cover reveal and release date, Activision revealed the key art for Modern Warfare 2 by putting an oversized version of the image on a shipping boat and having it docked to combine into the full image. The key art features an operator with a skull mask. But unlike the grim and gray look of the first Modern Warfare reboot, Modern Warfare 2 is going for a neon green look. The annual franchise will be handled by Infinity Ward this year and will be a sequel to the 2019 reboot. Early details say that Modern Warfare 2 will center around U.S. special forces f*ghting the Colombian drug cartel. This could also be the last annual Call of Duty game as it was reported that 2023's Call of Duty game will be released in 2024 and that the series may no longer be an annual franchise following Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard. However, reports also suggest that Activision Blizzard is committed to keeping the next three Call of Duty games multiplatform.

I know its popular to hate on cod, but I'll cop if its fun. I usually go in for about 4-5 domination matches and Im out. Just copped vanguard since it was on sale.

I was a Battlefield stan, but I’m more hype for this after the trash EA put out.

The last remake was pretty good. Didn't have the impact as the original but was still solid. Hopefully this makes up for that horrendously bad Vanguard.

They're going to make so much money off this alone cause of the people that think this is a remake of the og MW2 and not realize this is a sequel to the 2019 one.

Day 1 and hopefully with a 4090 or 7900 in the system

Idk, The Last Modern Warfare Was Dope On The PS4…It’s Basically The Engine Running Warzone…If They Don’t Make Significant Upgrades And Hashtag This Like They Been Doing The Last Games

MW 2019 is still my sh*t

I barely liked Cold War it grew on me in it's final months

Vanguard is fun to me I fu*k with it I'm currently trying to get Diamond camo for everything

I'm a*suming this will be fire and I will give it days of my life like I have with other CODS hopefully I'll have a PS5 by then

Cold war came and went so fast. Saw a good number of people back on MW

first warzone just came at the perfect time

people who were into cod were playing and first time covid gamers were playing

it’ll never get back to that unless there’s another lockdown

but this game will get some burn with most cod guys
