This is a cool video, I got my very 1st twist April 2021, I was adamant about freshness, my stylist and cousin were telling me I was tripping, saying if you trying to be that fresh then maybe this aint for you. I was going every 2 weeks. My new stylist refuses to twist my hair more than 1 time every 4 weeks. I go every 4-6 weeks now, still want it fresh but I take good care of it & she always tells me it looks good and can go another couple weeks if I wanted.

Peppermint oil does make them smell good tho.

The reality is if your edge up get pushed back and ain’t nothing wrong with your hairline naturally, it’ll grow back B

n*ggas be knowing they hairline is fufu tight around 22 23 maybe earlier…and for the next 7 years they’ll blame a barber for pushing them back as to why they got hair loss meanwhile they sh*t starting to look like a fu*king Cul de sac. My own younger brother was guilty of this sh*t till I didn’t edge him up for a month.

Mine are free form. Went a couple of years of just lineups just to see what would happen.

Pretty much stopped getting lineups since.

Every 4-6 weeks is cool, if your hair long enough to get em styled wait til the fourth week to take em out and thug it out for 2-3 weeks to let ‘em breathe. Started my second set of locs 12 years ago, dude made some good points but good genes will keep that hairline strong

If my locs took 4 hours I’d get my hair styled twice a year, can’t stand sitting still

I’m on my 10th year with locs. This is all good advice, my hairline has gone back a little but not as much as people who get them crazy styles every time they re twist
