Prodigy Hegelian Dialectic Book 2: The Book Of Heroine Announced

It’s a good day for Prodigy fans. The late rapper’s entire solo catalog has returned to streaming services.

The Mobb Deep member’s estate announced the move Friday, about three years after his solo records were pulled from all DSPs and digital marketplaces. Prodigy’s family, who runs his estate, said the removal was due to their legal dispute with the artist’s former a*sociates. Thanks to a new deal with ADA, Warner Music Group’s independent distribution arm, fans can now revisit Prodigy’s work on all major platforms.

“We are extremely thankful to all the fans for understanding the circumstances that our family had to professionally control at a time of grief, and for the kind words of encouragement we received from many of you” a representative of the estate said in a press release. “We would also like to thank the community of hip hop artists who came together to help us a*semble Prodigy’s last projects. The music belongs to all of you and we are glad we can make it available again and forever.”

The Mobb Deep member released his debut solo album, H.N.I.C. (Head N***a in Charge) in 2000, and unleashed its sequels H.N.I.C. 2 and H.N.I.C. 3 in 2008 and 2012. He went on to drop The Bumpy Johnson Album in 2012 and Hegelian Dialectic (The Book of Revelation) in 2017; the latter of which arrived just five months before his death at age 42.

“In life and death, Prodigy’s impact on the culture and music remains transcendent,” said chairman of the NorthStar Group, L. Londell McMillan, Esq. “It’s an honor to work with the Estate of my friend Prodigy, and others who knew and loved Prodigy, as we protect his legacy and return his catalogue back to the marketplace worldwide. So much more to come.”

In conjunction with Prodigy’s catalog release, the estate has announced the rapper’s forthcoming track “You Will See”—the lead single off his posthumous album The Hegelian Dialectic: The Book of Heroine. The song will arrive June 10, while the album is expected to drop sometime this summer.

While we wait for more details on The Book of Heroine, you can stream and/or purchase Prodigy’s solo records now on Tidal, Apple Music, and Spotify. The latter platform has also launched a special Fans First activation, which offers first access to exclusive merch.

They need to hold off for a couple of decades to release new music by Prodigy. I don’t think Mobb fans will truly appreciate it

Decade’s?

Nah, and as true Mobb Fan since the beginning think it’s time to release it now.

I’m honestly happy that that didn’t release anything right after his death for a “money grab”.

This might sound wild but I believe Prodigy was underrated as an MC and his first solo album is a classic. P should be mentioned along Jay-Z, Nas etc as tier 1 rapper just my 2 cents.

Nowadays, music is treated like trash. Back in the days (old head talk) we listened to albums for months. Today, music is old in a week. So I highly doubt Prodigy album will be appreciated unless decades go by without hearing from him

I do want it to wait a little longer myself, but life is short, who knows of we’ll be here in a couple decades sh*t maybe even a couple years. I want this, and I will absorb it.

Just ignore people that like to jump to conclusions. They aren’t the real fans.
