I appreciate what Chappelle is doing here but let’s be serious. Will smith wouldn’t have slapped Ricky Gervais. Wouldn’t have slapped Louis CK or Jerry Seinfeld. Definitely wouldn’t have pulled that sh*t on the rock or Idris Elba. And people think it’s a size or color thing but I bet he definitely wouldn’t have slapped midget a*s Kevin Hart or lightskinned Trevor Noah.

You, just like the rest of America, have no idea what would’ve happened. All these if’s are nauseating. If we weren’t born men we’d be born women, or elephants, or tigers, or bats or whatever the hell. You see how peculiar and mind numbing that sounds? No one knows what the outcome would’ve been. Will was enraged at that moment and he was sick of being or being apart of punchlines and made a mockery of so he acted out. At the end of the day it was Chris Rock that he slapped and that’s all we have to go off of.

I read it as the total opposite. Dave played it right so he wasn’t really siding with either of them to not cop any backlash, but i felt he was clowning Will more.

Even if he wasn’t close with Chris Rock, no comedian is gonna side with a heckler who goes up on stage and slaps the comic over a mild joke.
