Ubisoft has said the reason its initial endabblements with NFTs have failed is because users "don't get it." I love this. I hope they keep that mindset all the way to bankruptcy.

I don't understand the bad backlash from this?

From what I understand you can buy a gun skin or whatever in a game, then when you no longer want it you can sell it off instead of the money going to waste.

Isn't that a good thing or am I missing something?

They've been doing this in games like CSGO and Payday 2 for years. It's been a thing on Steam for a long time now.

There used to be a few BX posters who would only buy full $60 games with the money they make from CSGO drops. Wasn't a bad idea really.

You want one of their games, it pays to wait a year or two until they actually fix their garbage.

Look at that trash R6 Extraction. Nobody is going to buy a skin on that game, let alone buy the game because its garbage!

They need to focus of getting their stuff in order instead of trying to microtransaction people to death.

Ubisoft ignoring fans

Ubisoft not making good games

Ubisoft focus is off, they are out of touch with their fanbase

Take R6

They switched up what it was which was a great tactical shooter

Turned it into an online-only game

Turned that into a dog poo/zombie shooter

Adopted the free to play model for no reason

Throwing in NFT's and doubling down on it

They've jumped the shark

Another thing is you don't even have to pay for these, just play the game.

People keep buying every copy paste, open world game they drop. Why wouldn't they think they could get away with it?

You dont buy them. Thats what everyone is missing. They arent selling the NFT's you have to earn them in game.
