I'm a DevOps manager, there's so much money to be made in so many ways in tech. Programming, business analysis, ops, etc. Programming is a great start, but by no means do you have to make it your career. As long as you understand programming logic and then add another layer like project management, you can print money in this game

Pythons syntax is much more “human” friendly.

feel like this is the reason it's basically useless using reddit to get answers these days...just pages of guys trying to one up each other w the jokes and relevant info sprinkled in here and there

Salute the patience though coding seems mind numbing

Also Salut for using your powers for good hear the ravsomwsre bandits are sticking companies up for these amounts weekly

whats interesting is im on the finance team for a tech company, i feel like damn near i even need to know how to query in SQL just to do my job now too.

Basic coding is going to be like knowing "MS office proficiency" of today.

i'd say 50% of my job is talking to FINSYS (financial system, basically IT of finance) and DE (data engineers).

there;s so much more.

Shopify has a program right now for DevOps in conjunction with a university. They pay you a stipend of like $100k while you study. It's open for newbies and minorities. Deadline to apply is in Feb.

Dope. I have to get my security+ certification. Already have A+ and N+ certs already. From there get really into programming. Took a python class felt that was easier than Java honestly.

I have my certifications (sec+, net+ and etc) from the Army as part of my job and learned coding while in college. These are two different jobs, it's like being a lawyer and trying to be an engineer. Research both and figure out what you want to do so you can be focused and get that 6 figures. I'm about to work as a network engineer no programming necessary but if I switch to a database manager than my knowledge of SQL will come in handy. I tried to do too much when I first started and wish someone had guided me
