Gilbert makes great sense. I found it odd that in the 2020 Playoffs, the Lakers went about 5 games with every team in the harder WCF but went 6 games with an undermanned Miami. But idk if that's the fault of Frank's lineups or if that was due to the effort that the Lakers put in.

When the Lakers put in effort, they play well but most of the time, they are asleep on the court. We saw that in the January 23rd Miami game. Lakers were down 20 for about 2 quarters and then in the 4th quarter, they started playing defense, getting stops and game down to a four point game down the stretch.

I agree with Gil with everything but his the defense doesn’t matter you need more scoring. If the lakers had a serviceable defense, then yes, but they’re so bad that even when AD, Bron, and Russ were playing they couldn’t out score other teams enough to offset the bad defense.

all facts... the reason why 2021 was a disaster.... all of those DNPs because Vogel felt he was making chess moves.... at some point you have to let players live with their strengths and weaknesses and let them build chemistry... now he he's doing the same sh*t, but with a weaker cast thanks to Rob Palinka

Mike Smith formerly of ESPN now on Brother from another made this point about Vogel that I agree with. If he’s got Rambis sitting in coaches meetings (rambis a failed coach himself) and having to ask management if he can bench Westbrook, how much control do you think he has over sh*t that we think coaches should have maximum control and freedom over? He’s a dead man walking for sure
